Francisca has built her 25+ year legal career on two steadfast principles – finding the most interesting work, and delivering excellence. Her determination to meet her clients’ needs fuels her business-forward approach, and her genuine curiosity for learning about new people and projects keeps it interesting.
Francisca has embraced opportunities to work with complex and fast paced businesses, as a part of small teams and large, in-house and as external counsel, and brings that experience forward to advance her clients’ interests. Francisca is most often engaged in contract negotiations and working with intellectual property across different industries, including advertising, consumer products, and technology. She loves to work with teams who are enthusiastic about what they’re building, and is especially in awe of the developments in medtech.

- Represented Virgin Mobile Canada in its deal with Research In Motion Limited for the launch of Blackberry devices with Virgin Mobile Canada, 2008.
- Represented Virgin Gaming Inc. in its deal with Take Two Entertainment Inc. for licensed use of Take Two Entertainment Inc. game data, 2010.
- Represented Infected Mushroom in its deal licensing Infected Mushroom intellectual property to Waves Audio Ltd., 2016.
- Represented Infected Mushroom in its deal licensing Infected Mushroom intellectual property to Intercure Ltd, 2022.
- Represented Zulu Alpha Kilo Inc. in its engagement by Loblaws Inc., 2024.
